He Called Me to Fish 🐟 — Wear the Mission, Live the Purpose

When I started Remembered For My Faith, it wasn’t just to create apparel — it was to build a way for believers to boldly share their faith. Every design is meant to be more than fabric and ink. It’s a conversation starter, a reminder, and a mission you can wear. And this one — “He Called Me to Fish” — might be the most meaningful yet.

I was inspired to create this t-shirt as a reflection of what God has shown me about my purpose in life. At the heart of our faith is a calling — not just to believe, but to go and make disciples. In Matthew 4:19, Jesus tells Simon Peter and Andrew, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people.” That simple invitation transformed their lives and set the course for their purpose. And it’s the same calling we’re given today.

This message appears throughout Scripture. In Mark 1:16–18, Jesus again calls them to leave their nets behind and follow Him. In Luke 5:1–11, we see the miraculous catch of fish — a powerful symbol of what happens when we trust Him and step into our calling. And in John 21:1–14, even after His resurrection, Jesus meets His disciples by the sea and reminds them once more of their mission: to go out and reach people with the message of salvation.

“He Called Me to Fish” isn’t just a phrase — it’s a declaration of identity. It’s about knowing that your purpose is bigger than your job, your comfort zone, or your plans. It’s about stepping boldly into the life God designed for you — to love people deeply, speak truth boldly, and point them to the hope only Jesus offers.

My hope is that when you wear this t-shirt, it will serve as a daily reminder of that purpose. Whether you’re casting seeds of faith through conversation, kindness, or example, know that you were chosen for this. You were called to fish.
